Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy

What is Cupping Therapy?

Cupping therapy is an ancient healing method that may ease back pain, neck pain, headaches and other issues. Cupping therapy is a therapeutic technique that utilises a vacuum force created beneath a small vessel applied onto the skin's surface. This uses suction to pull on your skin and increase blood flow to the affected area. This approach focuses on blood and autologous healing substances in a specific area, stimulating metabolic activity, improving immune function, and stabilising blood biochemistry.

Cupping is supposed to draw fluid into the area; the discolouration is due to broken blood vessels just beneath the skin, much like a bruise. Cupping has been popular in Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures for thousands of years, but increasing numbers of people worldwide have been adopting it.
